Milk + Honey Cafe and Gallery Wilmington, Delaware

Milk + Honey Cafe Gallery Wilmington DE

Milk + Honey Cafe and Gallery is located in Wilmington Delaware. I just happened to hear about this quaint cafe located in Wilmington on a Facebook page. At that point I had never heard of Milk + Honey but was intrigued and started to dig through social media to find out all about it. Surprised to find out that this cafe has been open since October 2019 and I had never heard of it! I love a good place to be able to go and sit and enjoy the ambiance. Yes, there are a few chains around that offer peace/quiet and a good place to connect to the WiFi while enjoying a snack but I really enjoy the more locally owned shops.

The Scoop

Okay so here’s the scoop on Milk + Honey Cafe and Gallery located in Wilmington, Delaware. It is located in historic Little Italy on Union St. Run and owned by its owners, also husband and wife, Quincy and Fay. First and foremost I was so pleased with the fact that they have a parking lot! I don’t mind parking on the street but a lot is always appreciated. As you walk up to the establishment there’s a cute space set up for outdoor seating. As you walk up the steps and into the doors you are taken in by the very chill vibe of the cafe. The walls are adorned with art by local artists. All of the art work is very eye catching and intriguing. Make sure to check out the photos of the inside of the cafe and the artwork.

Let’s Talk About The Food and Drink

Unfortunately, on this particular day I didn’t have time to sit and enjoy my food and drink but I did get to chat with Quincy while I waited. While I was looking up Milk + Honey online I came across their Facebook page where Quincy was showing off his garden and explaining how they use the freshest vegetables from their garden, when possible, at the cafe. While chatting I also found out that they get their Chorizo locally. Quincy’s goal is to support businesses locally, which is great to hear!

I ordered a breakfast sandwich and a caramel macchiato. The sandwich contained egg, cheese and bacon. It was delicious!!! THAT MACCHIATO was on point!!! I took his suggestion on how it was prepared. Honestly I’m still not really sure how he made it lol, but it was perfect! I never want to mess with a master at his work. My sister was my foodie buddy that day. She ordered the french toast and a Chai Tea. We tend to be a little snobby when it comes to Chai, but let me tell you this did not disappoint. As Quincy made the Chai tea; he was telling us how he had visited New Delhi, India and that’s how he mastered his Chai tea flavors. It definitely hits the sweet and spiced parts of your pallet. Her french toast, eggs and bacon did not disappoint either.

What are you waiting for???

I’m sad to say that I’ve been sleeping on this amazing and inspiring cafe located so close to me. The next time you want to grab a bite or some amazing coffee make the time to try out Milk + Honey Cafe and Gallery! They are opened daily, with the exception of Thursday and Sunday, from 8 am-2 pm. They are working on doing so many things for the community. For instance they do a small business Saturday where local small businesses go and set up a spot and advertise their business at the cafe. They also do open mic nights and are part of the Delaware Art Loop. Make sure to check out their Facebook page here and click here to check out pictures of the cafe and what we had when we visited.
